1965 F-600 (N-series) snub-nose truck
I have purchased a 1965 F-600 Snub-nose flatbed truck for my personal use.
I am looking for any manuals (owner, shop, etc.) on this year and series truck. Would also be interested in spare parts or to ask questions of anyone who also has the same type of vehicle. Especially the proper use of a two speed reverse tranny. I also have the original split rim hubs and tires up for sale if anyone is interested. I was told that they were illegal to use on the road by one mechanic and they were ok to use by aniother but no one wanted to wrok on these rims because of the danger factor. So now I have all new rims and tires on my truck Does amyone now of any clubs, swap meets or shows that would be of use for me in finding items for my truck. Thanks for reading my post. I don't get in here much any more...
The N series is one of my favorites. Are you a member of the American Truck Historical Society? Try www.aths.org if not. There is a member in CT who brings an N-600 to some of the shows around here. The Barrington NH annual show will be a must for you in August. It is close to Wells, and there will be a ton of parts there. Another good show will be in July at Owls Head, ME. |
Thanks to all for the wonderful help. I'll try to get to the Barrington, N.H. show this August.
