1999 f250 super duty electrical problems help!!
Ok I'm a mechanic but my experience is with big trucks/heavy equipment and I am apparently in over my head or maybe over thinking this. My truck was shifting in and out of 4wd high just fine but not into 4wd low I did all the normal troubleshooting on this everything checked out including relays etc. when I removed the selector switch I found there was no power to any of the 4 wires except one when the dash lights were on, now here is where I got careless. I got out the power probe and was checking for circuit polarity and may have sent full 12v power through one of the wires after this my dome light flashes and I have no 4wd indicator lights or function at all. If I pull relay number 1 (dome lamp) the flashing stops but doesn't do anything to the 4wd I'm thinking I may have damaged my G.E.M. But don't know how to test it and I can't find a decent diagram. ANY help or suggestions would be great thanks
