254 CID Flathead 6 Cylinder from a 1951 Ford F-6 Truck (used in 1948 – 1952 trucks) starts and runs. (carburetor float and or seat is sticking. needs work) either it dumps fuel into the intake or no fuel delivery at all) the bowl of the carb has also had some sort of crack repair done at some point.

A compression test with engine hot yielded numbers as follows #1 = 115psi #2 = 120psi #3 = 112psi #4 = 120 psi #5 = 118psi #6 = 116psi
Oil pressure range from 40+ to 30 Vacuum range around 17 18 at elevation 4700
Selling for a friend who does not know the entire history of the truck but it came out of Idaho after 1969 where it had last been registered and used on the farm for hauling hay. And gen farming use. The speedo and odometer was missing from the truck since about that time.
We believe that it is/ was a low mileage engine based on the trucks original use but we both agree that the engine may have been rebuilt or at least had the head off at some point (maybe a valve job?) The block is fairly clean and appears to be original red engine paint from 51. The head has been painted a silver color which has faded mostly off, some red paint shows through in a couple places. The half bellhousing and oil pan also have this silver paint on them.
The pressure plate (clutch fingers show very minimal wear) (T-98 Synchro Silent 4 speed trans is also available separately)
He is asking $1200 and Can ship truck Freight anywhere you need. Or we could do Fastenal shipping depending on location and specifics. Range from $150 range West Coast to $300 range to the East Coast

I was chatting with truckdog and he mentioned you might you might hay some rims that would fit my truck. I have an international metro aluminum 1500. I need to get rid of the split ring rims.
