2008-2012 Ford Escape Blower Resistor Replacement
 

A common issue with symptoms of fan speed loss between 1-3 but high always works. I go over replacement and more importantly inspection of the card to verify failure with examples. On the Escapes it is nice and easy to get to and many don't realize just how simple a repair this is. We are seeing these fail allot right now almost daily and yours may be next.

It happened to my 2010 Escape this summer. Thanks to the help and knowledge of people like yourself, it came across as an easy fix even for a novice like myself.

When the one in our 2012 went out, I was amazed that a vehicle equipped with a SRM and various other relay banks still had a resistor...

They will all have a resistor of some sort even the newer ones. Some have gone to the solid state controllers but they fail just as often and are more expensive.
