Yes. For maneuvering into a spot with a lot of slow back and forth type stuff the trans cooler is doing little to nothing for you so 4 low will take a tremendous load off.

I have been prepping my truck for towing so far. One thing I did i never see mentioned is install a high flow cat to help maintain speed. With my old cat the back pressure caused me to slow down everytime I let off the accelerator but I'm using the 5.8w.
And I replaced all the components in my cooling system. Chain, thermostat, water pump, and radiator ( 2 stage ) instead of the stock one. Also changed out to fresh transmission fluid and added some lucas oil ATF booster to it. How steep was your driveway? |
Next time let the truck idle in park before you shut it off. THAT will let it cool
