Peeling wax?
 

I have uploaded a picture of what has been happening to the fiberglass roof on my van since I bought. Be advised it was used and detailed when I bought, who knows what wax/sealant they might have used. Only the roof is affected. The picture you see I got off the internet, I don't have a working camera. But this is exactly what has been happening, clear flakes just peeling and blowing off. I'm sure this has nothing at all the do with the clear coat paint process. Can anyone suggest an abrasive cloth to remove this. I'm not looking for show room quality, just enough to get rid of the flaky parts.

This has nothing to do with any wax/polish, but is a bonding issue with the clear coat and is typically caused bythe clear not being applied within the timeframe the paint mfg has stated or this was a repaint and the basecoat/clear coat are non-compatible......meaning they sanded the clear off, and painted over the existing base coat...not a good thing to do.
