There should be some boot area you can get through on the firewall. Ive seen some people run it by the cowl and windshield/door area.

im hoping to try and sneek it through where the up fitter wires go through... but gotta find where they actually come out...

Yeah it is. Considering the 2 closest ones to me are downtown at the inner harbor or the one where that pic was taken. The one downtown has no parking close by and that one is easiest to get to by taking the suicide loop. ( AKA the Baltimore Beltway). Closer options are available including a mission BBQ.

Id take BBQ anyhow. Ever been to bone daddys?}>

The fitter wires that are factory installed come out by the brake pedal, off to the left.

You could also use one of those. Splice on both ends.

i already had plans for them actually... temp gauges for the transmission and transfer case...

archtaan 08-04-2014 10:09 PM

Dont you have 4 wires there?

Sparky83 08-04-2014 10:13 PM

yup... but the trans temp gauges have 2 leads each... and im installing 2 of them... so ill be using all 4 wires...

archtaan 08-04-2014 10:18 PM

1 lead is power and 1 is to the guage plus ground. Dont you only need to run 1 wire into the cab? I cant remember.

nope 2... grounds through the gauge... power goes out... ground comes back in... gauge reads the resistance for the temp...

OK, guess I was way off.

I remembered 1 wire from the temp sender to gauge and 1 wire from the sender to ground.
For the gauge inside its 1 to ground, 1 to 12v switched power, 1 to headlight switch, and 1 to constant power. That was only 1 wire through the firewall. Been a few years though.
