sad day for my bronco :-(

We had a tornado hit our town and it wasn't very kind to my bronco. The wind didn't damage anything at our house, but there was hail as big as a grapefruit and it broke vinyl siding on the house and damaged some gutters. I had 4 of our kids with me about 45 minutes from home when it hit but my wife was home alone with our newborn. She took the baby to the grocery store for shelter and the roof got torn off the store. There were 17 vehicles in the parking lot and 16 of them had windows busted out of them. Ours was the one that didn't. It beat dents all over the hood, roof, fenders and tailgate and broke the side mirror, but nothing I can't fix later. Luckily no one was injured, but I hated seeing my bronco banged up like that.

I had to leave to go to work that night(truck driver) so I can't take pics of it until I get home, which should be sometime next week. I did get a pic of the mirror on my way out though. It broke part of it all the way out and the rest of it has cracks all across it.

I was able to stop by the house this morning and get a few pics. I didn't take one of every dent, but here are a few examples of the damage. I had planned on repainting it soon, so just going to add a little extra body work.

Not as bad as it could have been, I'm glad everyone is safe, and the Bronco was on the way to the paint shop, and not out of it, that would have been some extremelly bad luck.

Dam that sucks, hopefully you can get those dent repaired and the Bronco repainted.

It definitely could have been a lot worse. It was our first night in our new home and my wife had just given birth a few days before that. I had her sitting at home with the baby and I had all of the other kids at our old house 45 minutes away helping me finish up some packing. Where she went for safety ended up being the hardest hit place too. I was just thankful they were ok. I can fix the bronco.

Fixing the dents and paint won't be a problem. I do all my own paint and body work and it will give me a good project to teach my son some new tricks.
