Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid
 

Does anyone know where is the sensor for a 2006 Ford F150 5.4 Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid is located?

I would think that it would be mounted on the canister itself, but it may be under the hood attached to one of the vacuum lines going into the intake, it may be located on the fire wall and possibly be called out on the vacuum hose diagram if Ford put the sticker under the hood, sorry I couldn't be more specific, You may get more answers in the 2004-2008 forum, good luck!

The vent solenoid is mounted in the canister above the spare tire. The purge valve is under the hood next to the brake booster.

Thanks, if of them is malfunctioning would that be the reason the check engine light is on? I had it checked by a garage they said it was a sensor related to my gas tank vent.

What is the code?

Took to Advance and the code was 0446. Thanks for your help..
