06 Expy intermittent stalls
 

My 06 EB with 190k has started to stall intermittently and I am stumped. It does it occasionally when we back out of the driveway and shift from reverse to drive or when we are in slow moving traffic like a parking lot. Occasionally, it will stall at a stop sign or red light but usually just slow moving traffic or changing directions with the tranny. Also, it won't take hard acceleration, (such as passing on a two lane road) It spits and sputters like the Catalytic converters are clogged and the CEL flashes for 30-45 seconds but doesn't show a code when I have it read. I have recently (last 25k miles) replaced both Catalytic converters, all COPS and plugs, fuel filter and had the transmission flushed. Love the truck and am pretty sure that is probably due to a fatigued part from high mileage and want to get it squared away before school starts back and the wife and kiddos are commuting 45 minutes each way in it. Have you had the fuel pressure tested?

Not yet. Haven't had time to get it to the shop yet.

Check your FPDM
 

If it hasn't been replaced yet, definitely take a look at your FPDM (Fuel Pump Driver Module). See my earlier post on this one below... Would definitely cause your behavior and is a cheap fix. Mine is also a 2006 Expy and you can see from the pics the terrible shape my FPDM was in. ;)
