2015 Expedition front bumper, grille, head lights
Does it look like these will be interchangeable with other third generations? The headlights look narrower but the bumper looks higher to make up the difference.
I couldn't imagine why I couldn't retrofit the 2015 onto my 2013. I'm very curious... https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...18dd76b066.jpg |
I've often wondered things like this myself... without seeing a '13 & '15 side by side, would be difficult to tell. the lines look like they line up correctly, but hard to tell. And I'm quite certain you're aware the cost of such an endeavor tho? Just the xenon headlights and ballasts alone would prob be north of $2k... but I'm just guessing. Good luck and post before & after pics... would love to see someone do it.

I If the price was decent I could see making that upgrade. Wonder how bright the LED running lights would be? |
Looking at the 2014 on Ford's site, I'm not certain that the headlight shape has changed at all. My initial concern was the angle that the front fenders and bumper meets but that seems to be the same as well.

The headlight housings are the same.

I would have to say the headlight housing is different. Take a look at this pic where the fender seam is in relation to the headlight housing. The new bumper comes up higher than the previous model. Also the shape is different.

https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...3d5436638e.jpg Matt Good eye! But I would get the bumper cover too, so that's not really a concern. So you all agree that the front fender panels and hood area are the same as Generation Two? I think that's more of my question. If those two are the same then the new headlights, grille, and bumper cover should be a direct fit. :-down |

Follow up:
I have requested pricing from White Bear Lake Ford (Tousley) and will comment when I have reply. I looked at the new 2015's today and I love the front clips. |

Also waiting for an update.

...ASSUMING... everything is a bolt on, my guess on the conversion is $3000+.

if you were paid $2200 to repair the existing damage then the repair and conversion to the 2015 parts would probably be $5300. :'(
