Yetiman it's very tempting to take you up on that offer but I'm see how this 390 will run first, it prolly but just a dog...haha, I'm just kiddin, I can't wait to see the difference in power between the old 360 to what I got now.

Nice paint job.
What brand and color of paint was used?

Don't forget the cam break in procedure when you 1st fire it up. That can mean the life or death of your build.

GaRedneck91 06-14-2014 02:48 PM

It's just ford blue.. I put the edelbrock zinc additive in it and ima break it in and drive it for around 300 miles then change the oil.

raven3 06-15-2014 07:45 AM

Understand break in procedure for this type of engine is start it ASAP, then run it at 2000 rmp for 20 minutes using SAE 30 "break in oil" ,high in ZNDP(zinc) ,then change out the oil with favorite brand and weight that is high in Zinc additive.

GaRedneck91 06-15-2014 08:45 AM

I got some sae 30 valvoline in it right now with the edelbrock zinc additive ima start it this weekend and I prolly ain't gonna change it right off machinist said run it around 300 miles then change it then regular oil changes after that.
