Ordered some 08' mirrors for my 05' EX
 

I just ordered some 08' style mirrors for my 05' XLT
2005 Ford Excursion Power Heated Signal & Clearance Light Telescoping Towing Upgrade Mirror Pair at 1A Auto.com

I currently have the heated (only) doggie ear mirrors.

Is unlikely that my 05' XLT will be set up to run mirrors with signal markers?

I'm just trying to get prepared before they come.

Thank you but I've been mostly looking at the 08' mirror install thread. I'm really trying to find out the pin out for the ford mirror connectors on my 05' truck. So if I don't have the connections I can put the pins in and wire my own.

I will bet you the plug is fully wired for the new mirrors.

My '05 ex, eddie bauer, was already wired for marker/running lights.

They are totally awesome, you will love them!

My EX is also an '05 XLT like yours and came with the heated dog ear paddle mirrors from the factory too. I bought the same '08 mirrors from 1AAuto.com and they were totally plug and play, everything worked, power adjusters, heat, signals and running lights.

any idea if the functions like running lights and turn signal will work on my 2002? I have the tow mirrors with defrost factory right now. How is the quality of the 1a-auto mirrors?

My 03 had turn signals at the plug but no running lights, I had to run a wire for the running light to each mirror.

Ohhh boy I'm pretty excited now! I hope that's the case!

Are these as good as OEM? I'm curious on the quality. Ive been wanting a pair!

Mine haven't been delivered yet but from what i've read they are on par with OEM...I was pretty confident with ordering them- I wouldn't pay $300+ for junky mirrors

I can tell no difference. Apparently the AM are a tad (1/16"-1/8") smaller than OEM.

DID THEY BOLT UP WITH OUT ANY MODIFICATIONS ?.
