First pic I have seen in that gray of the fx4 /monochrome package, looks light years better than that ugly red version that's been in all the promo advertisements.

I'm going to have to see some in person, that front end is still ugly to me. I'm probably a couple years or more from buying a new ride anyway, so that's going to give me a lot of time.

Love the gray color, matches the wheels.

I like it!

that dark gray is about as boring as the day is long...do like the truck though, but do see a striking resemblance to Tundra....in fact a few days back I passed a car hauler going opposite way down freeway and thought I saw a new F150 on the back of it but it was a Tundra :-X18

Seen a candy red platinum crew going up 275 last week, looked sweet!

Guys, guys guys! Tisk, tisk...look closely..... They claim UP TO 700lbs.
Keys words....UP TO. No one knows exactly what the weight savings is going to be. Ford is very good at stretching the truth when it comes to marketing. ("V8 power with V6 mpgs"..ring a bell?) With all the new gadgetry they are putting on these trucks they are going to be adding back some of the weight they dropped from the aluminum body change. So weight savings will depend on the cab configuration and trim level (amount of options). It will be interesting to see the actual Ford corporate claimed weight saving and claimed curb weight vs the real world weight savings and real world curb weight. I wonder if Ford ends up with some egg on their face.

I doubt the gadgets they are adding are any heavier than the gadgets of the current model. Obviously depends on cab and bed configuration.

Lol you'd be surprised how much weight all the latest technology has added to vehicles.
Have you weighed the handle/camera assembly on the tailgate? How about the increasingly bigger touchscreens on the dashboards? LCD screen in the instrument cluster? The sensor units for rain sensing wipers? All the components that go along with running all of them them. That's just a few things.

What about great big glass that goes in sun roofs? Entertainment systems? Premium stereos with amps?
List could go on and on.
All those neat "little" gadgets add up and Ford has added a lot of those neat "little" gadgets to the new truck.

When we bought an expedition a few years back, one of the options was dual DVD headrests. They install those headrests after the purchase because they don't want scumbags breaking in and stealing them. The boxes that the DVD headrests and hardware came in weighed a good 25-30lbs.

Come on now, it's not as bad as the fiat commercials, showing a hemi 4x4 and saying they have the best fuel economy at 28mpg....even though it's a 2x4, single cab that "achieved" that mpg
