New member, another build.

New to the forum although I have visited looking for info in the past. Lots of great builds and photos here so I thought I might as well share a few . As soon as I figure out the photo thing ( I did create an album) I'll share what I've taken and give some details. I am about 2/3 thru the build so I have plenty.

Welcome to FTE! :-X22

I wish I was 2/3 of the way with mine. I have my chassis finished and I'm starting on body work. I HATE body work.

Welcome to FTE! :-wink

Since you already have an album of photos, it's easy to put pics in your posts. Here's one way.

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...ghtsafter1.jpg

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) http://images-2.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/...nsertimage.gif and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post. :)

Hope that helps. :-drink

to put a pic in an album or gallery, it must first be on the web, not just on your hard drive. Easiest way is to first put them on a free photo storage site such as Photobucket. Watch the photo file size limit if posting to a gallery here.

Good to see another rescue of a dead project truck. Thanks for sharing - looking forward to watching your final push:

(I captured the image URL by right clicking, picking the obvious option, and pasting it into the dialog box after selecting the yellow postcard looking icon from the menu bar in the 'Reply to Thread' page. Nothing too it.)

Thanks for all the help.

With all the sheet metal on it shows a little potential.

Except for the rear window looks to be chopped close to what mine is.

Drew,

What is really funny is I modified my grill to use 56 buckets and trim rings. I liked the way it turned out but the cost of chroming it has me thinking twice.
I also did a 55 grill pictured in my avatar.

I believe you are correct from what I was able to find when I did my research . I'm not sure about the front IFS . I think it may be a Fat Man.

EffieTrucker 05-26-2014 03:58 PM

It's looking really nice. :-X22

I removed the cab and took the chassis to the body shop to make sure it was square and level.

1/4 out on the right rear

Back at the shop. Time to strip the chassis.

Removed the T5 tranny. With the cab chopped so much and the seat so low a third pedal just didn't work.

Motor out. Seller claimed the engine was built top to bottom. Time to do a little investigation.

Looks great! I'm jealous of your rear end... SUSPENSION! (that sounded weird!) :)
