I am behind in this thread too dangit!! I gots catching up to do.

ProjectDually 12-13-2014 11:32 AM

Which garret is that? It didn't look like a 366, but I'm not so hot on turbo discrimination as I am with my alcohol!

fordman67 12-13-2014 09:10 PM

Maybe a 38r?!?!

MOOSE_MACHINE 12-13-2014 09:31 PM

Yes it is a 38r. Common upgrade for a sd. Being that I had the manifolds up pipes collector turbo spider intercooler pipes and intercooler I figured it would be easiest

ProjectDually 12-13-2014 10:45 PM

Oh nice, the 38r is ball bearing right?

MOOSE_MACHINE 12-13-2014 11:16 PM

Yes. The downfall though is it is not rebuild able. It's basically a throwaway

ProjectDually 12-13-2014 11:34 PM

That's a shame really. I wonder why that is?

MOOSE_MACHINE 12-13-2014 11:39 PM

Idk. At any rate most seem happy with them. If I didn't have the rest of the parts I would have done a t4 mount

fordman67 12-14-2014 07:02 AM

It was my plan for quite a while.I have all the SD stuff but was convinced to go another route.sure would have been simpler. The simple route has never been my game tho. I think you will be plenty happy with it. I highly doubt you will wear it out honestly.

I have one heck of a busy day ahead of me. I'm milking now. Will be till 6:30(pacific time ). Then mix and feed, I'll also have afternoon chores to do which will be about 3 hours. My wife's gonna milk though. Truck wise I have to Finish the downpipe. I'm going to have to pull it out and cut, twist, and weld it up in a couple of places. Then I can finish the exhaust. I also need to reinstall the seat, wire the power for the gauges, that should get me driving tomorrow. On the 28th we are taking the truck on its maiden voyage.
