1994 Lightning Turn Signal question

Gang,
Forgoing fear of wearing out my welcome here , I have another non-performance related question.

In previous Fords which I've owned...The turn signal when engaged always made an "Audible" Clicking sound in sequence with the flash of the lights.

My recently purchased 1994 Lightning has only a faint trace of a corresponding sound.

The question is...Is this normal?...or is there something I can replace to restore it to it's normal operation?

Sorry again for the muldane questions...but I haven't had a chance to buy a repair manual since the purchase was completed. Yep....work has gotten in the way of car/truck fun.

Thanks in advance for your help and insights. :)

You can change the flasher located in the fuse box for a heavy duty one and it will be a little louder

1994 Lightning Turn Signal question

Thanks Blown Lightning,

I will check my sources at the local Ford dealership on monday for the "Heavy Duty" flasher. I have parts coming in monday already.

Can you believe someone ripped off the cup holders in the console while it was for sale? BTW...those suckers are expensive...They are $16 a piece at "Jobbers Rate"

The cigarette lighter was also absent...but I've liberated one from a wrecked F-150.

Back to the Flasher in the fuse box....I've replaced these before on other vehicles...but I never knew they made a "Heavy Duty" variant.

My Lightning is in basically great shape.(Mechanic owned)..and has already had a few things up-graded on it. (B&M Shift Improver for one)

The goal in the short term is purely cosmetic...this is in fact a toy for me. I have a pair of Roush 200 Series Heads laying around...and they may become part of the truck soon.

BTW...The Lightning in your signature picture looks exactly like mine...the bed cover and all.

The next cosmetic issue I have planned is a "Rhino Bed Liner".

Finding this Lightning was a pure stroke of luck. I did in fact sell Fords during the 93/94 Model years....and the truck while out of the question when new , has always fascinated me.

I sure do appreciate you responding to my questions....you are indeed a great resource.

Regards,
Allen
