Vapour Locking

Todays question isn't about a truck, but I am sure most of us FT fans also have a Ford Car, so I am hoping that someone else may have an answer to this. I just bought a 2000 Contour used, as is. it runs fine till it warms up, then it starts to cut out, like it is vapor locking. the hotter out it is, the worse it gets. If I sit in cruise control at 55, on a flat section of road, it isn't really noticed, but if I need to climb or go much faster it gets real bad. Is there a sensor or something that might be causing this. ANybody have any suggestions?

Also, the longer I drive the worse it gets, after about an hour at freeway speeds it sputters out completely and dies. (Weak fuel pump not keeping up maybe??? Computer problem?)

I'm having the exact same issue with my 1985 Ranger with 2.3L engine. I've changed all the usual suspects except the fuel pump. Any help on this would be appreciated. I don't know if you heard something offline (if so, please share) otherwise I'm sure you could use this info as well.

Help!!!

OK here is what I have so far. The dealer is taking responsibility for it so I won't have to pay. They are saying that the fuel flow is about half of what it is supposed to be. They tried a filter and that didn't fix it. they are currently putting in a new fuel pump... We will have to see what happens that way.
