Clint, its a SOUTHERN thang. Gum-rubber boots. :)

Looks like the mighty Pearl is gettin' pissy bout the tightness of it's banks. City of Jackson is wishing they'd moved on the "twin lakes" flood control/economic development area that they've dicked around over the last 35 years... Since the LAST "100 year" flood.

Un-huh. Lot of folks gonna' be gettin' out their gum boots.

When I was a youngan in Columbia, we used to get flooded every spring (Easter Flood as it was called) when they would open the gates at the reservoir. Don't miss that at all.

So, we're sitting on the back patio yesterday evening & hear: "Vroom-vroom... WHAAAAA-CRASH....

Neighbor up the hill either hit the wrong gear or dumped the clutch in his mildly modified Jeep. Went down short 10ft-45* hill, flattened 6ft privacy fence, buried it's self up to windshield in side of 8X12 utility building in other neighbor's yard. He backed the jeep out & the bull bar protected it just fine. The shed which was pretty sturdy, unfortunately was bolted to a slab & kinda' folded in on itself....

I was torn between :-missingt & :-X15

Woo-hoo... No weekend wash out. Now if I could only avoid hole diggin'-pot fillin'.

Neighbor #1 got fence fixed Friday. Neighbor #2 is still looking at crushed storage building.

Watched a bit of the race last night... at least 48 choked on last restart. Was hoping Jr. would pull it off... (ANYBODY but Johnson) but did it have to be dic... um... "peanut head" Harvick?

Y'all have a great one.

gatormccluskey 04-13-2014 10:34 AM

Mitch the only climant change I see is in my bed room. (31 Years). I sold the 94 Jeep. I may have my one ton sold. Got to build a raised garden for the warden today. Everybody have a good day and week.

:-missingtYou right about that, we do have alot of "hall sex" these days, usually when I opt to go fishing instead of the raised flower beds, or my "Wardens" equivalent!:-X19

Good deal, I hope ya'll have a Happy Easter. Weather may turn on ya'll, we had some beautiful weather out here early this morning, went to crap around lunch, had a low pressure system develop on top of us, not sure if it's tracking north or what. :-roll

Scndsin 04-17-2014 06:50 PM

Gray, but not cold. Talking weather-head sez low pressure system to come ashore in FL panhandle & move NE. Most of central MS clear for weekend.
