Morning Charlie and Eric.
Did Mack ever have a power option? All the ones I have been around were painfully slow... |
They go pretty fast in reverse Bill.......
The one Mack Superliner I used to drive rock-n-rolled pretty good but that had a 425 Cat in it.
When I worked in prestressed concrete I got to drive the yard tractor a couple times. I can attest to that "fast in reverse" thing lol
The trans I have in mine, I have 6 speeds for reverse. :D
Time to get something accomplished but I'll be back shortly. Try to play nice now.... :-X15 |
I forget the specifics of this one...it was a dog though.
Play nice? Where's the fun in that...? |
Even the visions I drove used the 5 speed for reverse. had a button on the side kicked it in reverse.
Nothing like the old 2 stick in the B's and R's tho, that was a blast. shift all day and get nowhere |

The U-model I drove was the same way (twin stick). Didn't get anywhere but rolled coal like crazy too!

Yep and the green painted rock box had a big ole black racing stripe down the side.
ever drive a quadroplex?
Not that I remember.
5 spd 4 spd. same as the mack duoplex, but 4 speed instead of 2 speed. Usually came in detroits. crains, excavators, early gradalls etc. Lotsa fun....LOL
