My truck has the 352. I was debating if I wanted to go with headers, sorta like keeping it all original. But, if the manifold is cracked, it will be much easier to get rid of them and just use headers. I'm sure it would run better too. I'd stay away from long tube headers if you can unless you "wrap them" to keep heat away from the starter. Gaskets or heat shields are available for the FE engines. You never know what you might find on ebay or craigslist. These came today for one of my projects. 1986-1993 shorty headers ford 289,302 |
