Jimmy Fallon's New Truck
 

Hello FTE!

It looks like Jimmy Fallon from the Tonight Show pick for a pick up truck is going to be a Ford F150 King Ranch edition. Seeing how he is using the 2015 model year photo, it will be a next gen truck too. I like how he is doing a reverse deal with the truck and making the dealer hold onto the ride instead of the contestant. Here is the You tube upload from last night.

the truck is growing on me literally deep into my subconscious thoughts daily :-X04.....this time next year maybe hmmmm:rolleyes:

...and it's here at the USS Intrepid's Port Side Aircraft Elevator. It delivered in a semi and was craned up to the elevator this morning. Only 1 of 7 in existence, so far...

That is a sharp looking truck. I really like it a lot. I think the crew cabs look better than the pictures of the extended cab trucks that I have seen.

HHHHHMmmmmmmmmmmm I wonder has there ever been any better way to market a completely new truck? What a way to get air time. Not to mention a better way to improve ratings for your new show.

Not much of a contest if no one is winning it... He's having all these schmuck dealers touching it and whoever last longer, get to SELL it to him...

BTW, doesn't the font end from above look like a Toyota?

I`d already noticed a similarity to the Tundra....the truck looks sweet though.....so is that a hybrid package FX4/King Ranch.....what packages will that monster moon roof be available in?

I thought the FX4 package (skid plates, HDC) was available on all of the higher trim levels, or Is that the 250's I'm thinking about? Anyway, the truck does look good though. I would still be hesitant to grab one of the first batch, with all the technological upgrades, gotta be some bugs.

before 2004 the FX4 was just a off-road package that could be added to any f-150, they are going back to this after having it as a dedicated trim line. like we had a 2003 f-150 super crew lariat fx4 back in the day and all the fx4 added was different wheels, shocks, stickers and skid plates.

the more i see the '15 the more i like it!

I wonder how much money Ford gave Fallon to say he'll buy the new F150 or if he did it on his own with no "outside" influence.

I don't think we will ever know that. I guess, as someone else mentioned, it's mutually beneficial to Ford and Fallon. I still like Ford trucks better than Fallon.:-missingt

Whatever Ford might be paying, it's probably way less than a single spot on the Superbowl. There is a LOT of money flying around everywhere for "product placement" including Coca Cola logos on American Idol judges' desks and even the glowing Apple logo on Fallon's notebook computer. I think it's mutually beneficial as well.

Whatever the reason is, he could not ask for a better truck...let's just not count our chickens before they hatch though.
