Superchips 1805 stopped working
2000 F250 7.3L
I last plugged in my chip just before "smog" check, what a CatsAssTrophy. I returned to stock programming and just never got back around to re-programming the truck. Today I attempted to program and when I plugged in my chip... Nothing. I took it to my computer and plugged i the USB, it came on and offered to show me the version and set contrast. I maxed out the contrast thinking maybe I just couldn't see and plugged it back in and still nothing.:-arrgh Just a blank screen. Help TIA, Cyggie |
call Superchips, a few years ago they sent me a new replacement when mine wouldn't update, due to some internal lockout

Thank you for the immense amount of assistance I've received on this issue... :-P
Anyway, I have finally got to the bottom of the problem. Apparently due to a fuse failure (common to one of the cigarette lighter outlets), the OBD2 port was no longer receiving power. This deprived the chip of the power needed to operate and caused the chip to no longer function. Hope this helps someone out. |
