302 EFI to 302 EFI HO swap?
 

I have an 1987 Bronco that I think has a bad main bearing so I thinking of replacing the motor instead of selling it. I currently have a stock 302 EFI and C-6 transmission. I've done a good bit of searching lately and it seems I can find tons of really nice 302 EFI HOs but not nearly as many 302 EFI's.

What I really want to know is are the blocks the same, can I use the intake from my truck and will and engine from a mustang mount to my C-6 transmission. So far I have found out that the firing order may be different, which I guess shouldn't be a problem if I use the distributor from the donor car. Also I keep hearing that I cannot use the mustang headers (something about the dipstick).

Has anybody done this particular swap and if so how difficult was it and what other parts did you have to swap.

everything will swap over even the distributor. its the computer that will need swapping out to correct the new firing order of the HO motor. mustang headers can work but you will need to get the y pipe redone to mate to the headers properly
