Interior colors? Need pics!

Need some input guys........
I had planned on painting the interior of my COE white, and I really like it on the new dash......but what about the rest of the interior? I'm thinking maybe some other color might look better? I don't want white seats, headliner, etc. Don't really want black either. The outside of the truck will stay green, and a green interior would be a bit too much green. Maybe a third color to contrast? Any body got pics of a custom interior they like? Also debating painting the steering column white......dunno. |
I am thinking a tan or saddle color in my green truck

Heres my 56, was going for the 50s custom look...

Thanks for the feedback. I'm a big fan of red interiors, yours is great!
In my case it just won't work with the green. The tan/saddle color could work for the soft parts, goes pretty good with white or green.... Keep 'em coming! |
Scott,
With the green exterior and the white dash I think you might be a little limited. Perhaps a light grey, tan or even a darker brown. If you spray the interior surfaces body color there should be plenty of contrast between that, the white dash and whatever color you choose for upholstery Once I get my steering put back together I'm going to be spraying my interior. I'm going back with the factory color; meadow green. Bobby |
What color green are you using on the exterior? I would think a meadow green shade would still look good in the cab.
I don't think I would like a white steering column. What about white dash and headliner then the lower half of the cab body color with seats similar to what Chris showed? |

The tan color upholstery as a contrast is growing on me..... I think I will paint the column white though. |

Hey Scott,
Here is our basic tan interior for our 1950 - cloth bench seat just to give you an idea of how it might look. Ben in Austin 1950 F1 |
Tan is a great interior color for a green truck.

Keep the pics coming. I like seeing the different interior combos. Very helpful for us guys that haven't gotten that far and are still contemplating.

We went with gray with black accents. Black and white match everything. Jag

Just talked to a buddy....he has some nice leather bucket seats I can have. BLACK!!!!!
That throws a wrench into my plan.......suppose I could recover them, but this is a lowbuck build after all. Decision, decisions. |
How about putting a multi-color pinstripe design in the middle of the dash that would incorporate the green and the color of the upholstery you end up using? Or maybe a small painted pinstripe outline of a pickup truck peeling out? vroom!! :-X22 Jag
