'07 Plugs Change - Questions

OK, I've read all the posts, I watched the videos but I have a couple of questions:

Some people say the engine should be warmed a little, some say it should be cold. I am in Michigan, so cold so cold won't be a problem! Just want to make sure to do it the best way.

I have been running combustion chamber cleaner in for a few tanks now to help as much as possible...and because I was going to do it myself, then I decided to have the Ford dealer do it until they wanted $95 a plug for each one that broke! Now I am doing it myself!

Does using an impact wrench (I have a Rigid 18v) to loosen the plugs help?

Lastly...Gumout (carb cleaner) or PB Blaster?

Any help would be great!

PS - Makuloco200...great videos

I used a ratchet and just took my time. nice and slow steady pressure. good luck. none of mine broke thank the stars, but be sure to torque the back or you may get a slight gas smell. I did. I forgot the tq but it's googleable

I sprayed pb blaster and left overnight. I also went with the ratchet and took my time. I did it with a cold engine. I only had 2 break #4 and #8. I would buy the extractor tool just incase. If you dont use it you could always return it

4 and 8? Ouch.

One thing you didn't mention was a Lisle tool (assume you may already have purchased one). Do not attempt w/o this. otherwise if you break a plug you are SOL.

This was my experience, but Makuloco200 did an awesome job, as well.
