Question on a 4.6 in Crown Vic P71
 

Does a 99 4.6 from a Crown Vic P71 package have two or three valves?

Two valves, they never came with a 3V engine.

It is also an NPI head until '01 when they finally go the PI's and another power boost in '05 to 250hp IIRC.

Kermmy, I have an 05 Sport and the damn thing is a blast to drive. It has the rear air ride and I have added and upgraded the sway bars. It came with 17 low profile tires. It will hang a 40 mph curve at 80 and not squeal a tire. It is crazy. It's cruise point is about 82 mph and get 19 mpg however I drive it. Also, with it being black, people think I am a cop and on the interstate they get out of my way. It is a great cruiser. I am approaching 200K and say I will be looking for a heart soon. She will get it. :)

I sure like mine. I hope to buy another P71 before they aren't available. But I have a few years since they were built until 2011.

my 99 redlines at 137 mph.
and gets 33 mpg if i can keep the cruise set at 60mph on the highway
but it usually gets 11-14 mpg cause i have a heavy right foot.
