water in my wvo?
I have a wvo system from golden fuel systems. I have been running it fine for about 2000 miles. The other day I got some wvo and the engine would run really bad and stall. I drove it for 4 hours constantly switching from diesel back to wvo to try and burn it off. half way there I filled the wvo tank with diesel to try and dilute out the bad stuff it got better but still was bad. Is it possible that there was water in the wvo when I pumped it? It looked ok but you never know. What are some symptoms of water in your fuel? and I thought that this big filter for the wvo system was supposed to keep water out. Any ideas?

Did it run better on #2 but still bad on WVO?
Are you sure your filter is a water block filter? if not then the water will go right through it like fuel. Water in a diesel is pretty easy to spot, they generally run like crap if at all since water won't combust like diesel. This is also why all diesels have a water block fuel filter..... Drain your WVO/#2 mix and let it settle for a few days, you will see the water on the bottom if its in there. Diesel Rod |
when was the last time the wvo filter was replaced?
