I changed to the RAGE Rich because I lost a deer this year because of little to no blood after a pass thru of the vitals at 18 yards.
First time shooting a mechanical broad head out of my crossbow and glad I switched.

I had to switch to a Crossbow because my eye glass's proscription changed to progressive lens and I couldn't focus on the sights, string peep and the target at the same time using my compound. I really like shooting the crossbow.
Make sure you consider the Excalibur line of crossbows. shoot me a PM if you what to talk Crossbows.

SDElwood 12-04-2013 06:53 AM

Full freezers firsty.

I am thinking of switching to crossbow as well. The blinds in the UP are not very well set up to draw a bow or even see out the window standing. Crossbow would let me easily hunt there in the comfort of the hunting condo.

I guess I just need to pull the trigger so to speak and list my 2 Oneida compound bows to fund the new one.

TheBigBee 12-04-2013 10:29 AM

Well 3 hours door to door to my itasca office. Going to get some fresh sushi for lunch and the company dime.

SDElwood 12-04-2013 10:55 AM

The company only has a dime? And you get it?

I have had 2 reconstructive shoulder surgeries and can't use a compound. You may be getting a PM from me. I have looked at the EX line

anyone have any info on 65 mustangs? Im looking to pick one up on craigslist and thinking of picking it up as a project car just need a step in the right direction

Toyman 12-04-2013 09:41 PM

Not sure what you are wanting to know. But search on the forums and ask lots of questions. They are expensive to restore correctly.

Morning all!!!!

SDElwood 12-05-2013 07:28 AM

So there are unused compound bows laying around? Cuz I want one. But with my frame, it might be tough. So I'll continue on being thirsty.

TheBigBee 12-05-2013 07:52 AM

NOt the 65 but I had a nice 68 that I did alot of work an and sold last year. Very solid car if it is done right.

Toyman 12-05-2013 08:15 AM

Happy Thirsty Thursday all!!

You'll just need to stop by an archery shop, they can adjust the draw length for you, typically while you wait.:-drink

$425.00, and cash is my friend.

I'm tired of dealing with people on Craig list that don't show.

SDElwood 12-05-2013 03:46 PM

All I said was, "Uncle Rich might come work on his truck Sunday."

Mark - I'll PM you.

Toyman 12-05-2013 03:51 PM

FRED!!

No probably not this Sunday, waiting for the connectors to get here. Plus it's muzzleload season as of Friday so I'm hoping to hunt. I did change the oil in the truck to 5w30 synthetic and it seems to like it much better on cold mornings.

Hey Mark, what are your thoughts on a Ten Point Wicked Ridge Invader. Might be swapping for one tomorrow.

lol you just answered my biggest question, its on craigslist for 1800 but needs a lot of work its located in the kawkawlin area. I just don't know if I want to mod my truck up a little more or if I wanted to build a little muscle car

I might be a little biased, but I'd mod the truck.:-X06

Are you swapping him a new chair.....:)

Nice bow Rich, doesn't get much better, TEN POINT has a good reputation.

I like how that model has the forearm grip really low keeping your hand and fingers away from the string. and that it has a automatic cocker on the butt stock. It sucks when you find out your stringer is at the truck when your at your stand. also it has a scope that has lighted reticles.

Morning Michigan

Toyman 12-06-2013 06:03 AM

Thanks for the input Mark.

I actually have the same type of sight on both of my compound bows. I really like the red dot.

Happy Friday!!

bbender85 12-06-2013 07:23 AM

happy friday. not so happy head and stomach. i was thirsty.

SDElwood 12-06-2013 07:41 AM

I really hate that I need to replace the belt on my truck because it is squeaking. :-X15

I suppose their is easier belts to replace.....

I've had good luck eliminating belt squeal with Goodyear gator back belts.

Toyman 12-06-2013 09:24 AM

I can take a wire brush to the grooved side while running and make it go away for about 5 minutes. It seems weird to me that it would squeak in there. I will price out a Goodyear belt. Always had good luck with them also.

bbender85 12-06-2013 09:26 AM

we'd always put gatorback belts on new engines at the fire truck plant.

TheBigBee 12-06-2013 09:42 AM

When i did mine i used California mustang for most of the new parts that i needed. their prices were pretty reasonable.
