Small car show in Fresno (a lot of HD pics)
Hello all,
I was going to put the pics of the car show in the all topic thread, but decided to make a new thread for it instead. Originally, this was supposed to be just a gathering of friends and their cars, but in the end, it turned out to be a car show complete with awards, and trophies, and cash prizes. It was held in the parking lot of Wienerschnitzel on Shaw Ave in Fresno. And due to the large turn out (32 cars at last count) ended up spilling over into T-Mobile's lot, and the back lot of Wienerschnitzel's as well. http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0001-5.jpg 1919 C cab (with a rumored $100k invested all the upgrades) http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0002-3.jpg Hasn't officially started yet, but these are some of the early birds. http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0006-2.jpg The back end of the 1919 C Cab http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0008-2.jpg A 1951 Kaiser Deluxe Traveler, 1 of only 200 made that year, and 1 of only 7 known to still exist. http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0009-2.jpg Can't have a car show without a 57 Chevy in attendance. :) http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0017-1.jpg The first hatchback? http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0018-2.jpg 1950 Ford http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0020-2.jpg Not sure what year this one is, looks like a '27, but I could be mistaken. http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0021-2.jpg The only import in this show, and it is for sale for a measly $10,000.:-hair http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0024-1.jpg And then there is my favorite. :) http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0025-1.jpg The lower A-arms are less than 2 inches away from the pavement. http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...r/DSC_0030.jpg A Plymouth, but I have forgotten what year the car is.:( http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0040-1.jpg And a Dodge pickup, again, unknown year. http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...r/DSC_0042.jpg This car reminds me of the ZZ Top car. http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...r/DSC_0044.jpg Sweet ride. http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...r/DSC_0045.jpg And an even sweeter engine. http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0046-1.jpg And the front view. http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0047-1.jpg 1938 Chevy http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...r/DSC_0052.jpg Looks like John Boy (Walton) attended the car show too. :) http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0055-1.jpg Not even going to try and guess what year this is. http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...DSC_0060-1.jpg I am not a Chevy fan, but a 1968 SS396 4 speed car would make a believer out of me. http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...r/DSC_0062.jpg There were three F100's there, only one GMC pickup. http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/w...r/DSC_0068.jpg One lone Nomad. All in all, it was a good showing. I missed some of the cars, there was a 50's something Buick I did not get pics of, and a 1970 Chevelle that was turned into a lowrider complete with hydraulics, and skinny 13's. It was a four door that was made to look like a two door. Jim |
Great pics Jim.

Thanks, it is all the camera. I just point and shoot. I keep it on full auto and let the camera do everything else. :)

Well yeah, there is some input on my part. LOL. And I do have to zoom in or out to get the car or cars in the shot, but compared to the old days when I had to set the shutter speed, aperture, zoom in or out, and focus, this camera is easy to use. Of course, it can be set to manual mode, but unless I start getting creative with my shots, it is not needed. I can shoot video with it, but so far don't have anything to shoot videos of. LOL. However, I would like to get that feature down pat so I can record the upcoming Christmas Pageant at my church.
