Lincoln Y block

Hello all,
I am new to this site and very much a novice at posting.
I do love old fords and am looking for a rocker shaft for a Y block Lincoln 332. I'm not having much luck. Maybe someone out here has one or knows where to point me.

Thanks for your help,

Jack Lewis

Hi and welcome to FTE. There isn`t a lot out there for these engines, I`m moving your post to the Y-Block V8 (239, 272, 292, 312, 317, 341, 368) forum in hopes that someone will be able to help you.

Are the rocker shafts the same for the Lincoln cars and trucks? If so, I recently (this last Monday) saw a '54 Lincoln Capri in a local wrecking yard. Engine was pretty much complete. Missing the valve covers. I'm in the LA, Calif. area.

Yes Lincoln and Truck engines are the same family...

Thanks Y-Blockhead. I thought they were, but wasn't entirely sure. Halfjack, if you are still in need of the rockershafts , let me know. I'd be willing to pull them and ship them to you. I also am new to this site, and so I don't know just what the rules are concerning contacting other members. Probably for me, phone would be best as I am away from home quite often. Maybe some others may be of some help. Thanks, Jeff

Hello Jeff,

I found a complete engine in Oregon and am heading down tomorrow to get it. I sure appreciate the help I have gotten. If anyone needs the rest of this 317 Lincoln let me know, but I am keeping the heads. Jack

I would be interested in the carburetor.

Mike

If it has the truck oil pan and pickup I might be interested.

halfjack 11-21-2013 09:58 PM

I don't know how to tell if it has the truck pan...front or rear sump maybe?
