Transmission Fluid Pump?

I am trying to figure out how the automatic transmission fluid is pumped through the system. Is there a pump in the transmission or is it pumped by the torque converter? This is on a 2002 F250 7.3L.

Thanks for the diagrams but since there is not a legend, is the pump in the first diagram which is the torque converter?

Here's some better illustrations with legends. Attachment 82662 Sorry, I don't have an oil flow diagram on my computer that I can share at this time.

Here is a good article that explains the aspects of the hydraulic system of an automatic transmission. No pictures, but a good read. Automatic Transmission Principles of Hydraulics and Fluid Flow
