RJNRJN , keep an eye on ebay . Put it in your favorite search .They show up every so often ..I have no extras . Plan on spending $35-$55 .

RJNRJN 03-15-2015 07:54 PM

Do you happen to have a picture of one, or direct me to a picture?

Do you happen to have a picture of a standard heater for a 51 F1 just to make sure I have the right heater in my truck and would you have a refurbished core for one

26tudor 03-15-2015 08:53 PM

By the way you do excellent work

Standard box type heater . The core goes on top . Have 2 here and am going to make up some more when the $$ return from some heater sales . All the other parts for the heater are here . Time has not permitted to do the final assembly as work on the stock truck has been most important .Thanks for the compliment . Have been doing the resto work on the heaters for 8 yrs. Came about 'cause of the need for Magic Air heaters for the two '52 F-!'s in the garage .

Need to find one like this . Two post . Knob removes & there is a small bulb underneath . Keep an eye on ebay .

RJNRJN 03-17-2015 12:03 AM

Awesome pictures firstrider, thank you. I had no idea what the knob looks like. I have the switch which works. Did you mean $35 - $55 for the knob only?

Finding just the knob may be difficult . Acquired one from ebay for $25.00 .$35-$55 would be for a NOS switch .

Can you use that switch with a 12V as long as it has the proper bulb?

Heater core were made here . Found this soldered on a core when the tanks were removed . May put it on one of the cores in one of the trucks. Maybe worth extra points at a AACA show. Let me hear a judge comment about that .
Had more new cores made up . A '51 , '52 &a FORD aluminum face heater .

Firstrider, Thanks for the info on the heater being a Magic Air. My F1 is 1950 but from looking at the intake tube I'm confused if it was pieced together from a later version. I've attached a picture of the intake tube (which is in sorry shape).
