Max Power, Sub 4000 rpm Build, Stock Appearance?

This is for my 1987 F250. It's cherry inside and out, only thing really wrong with it is the PO painted over the factory red/silver paint with solid red. I want to try and make it a bit more "boner-rific" to drive on the weekends, yet still look factory stock. That means exhaust manifolds, all the smog stuff, plumbing, canisters, etc. The fact that it is 100% there and functional is kinda cool, and I'd like to keep it that way :-X22

Currently:

-D1VE 460, .10 over
-EFI pistons
-Straight up timing
-Generic "RV" cam
-E6TE heads? Stock valves, ground out thermactor hump
-Stock Dizzy
-Generic Summit 3" single out the back.

Backed by a c6 that needs a rebuild. 33" tires, 3.55 gears. Not sure what the HP/TRQ are like, but it is not disappointing to drive. I would like more pep though, and there is a slight possibility of it being tasked to tow a 33ft sailboat once every couple of years in the future. . .ever so slight. . .

I have no power goals, only that I want the most that is "reasonable" and fun to drive around town, for the restrictions I've placed on the build (passing gear on the highway is like 3500 RPM :-roll ). My first instinct is a stroker kit (like a 545ci) wrapped around basically a stock upper end. . .but I'm not sure :( I do have the D9TE block to use.

Any and all help and advice is appreciated!!

Is it carbureted or EFI?

Factory Carb'd, sorry. . .

You could get your heads professionally ported with bigger valves. You might be able to find some one that will port your stock intake and exhaust manifolds too. Order a custom ground cam from an experienced big block ford builder, they don't cost much more than a generic one. The duraspark distributor can be recurved for better performance also. You might not have enough air flow to gain much from a stroker, you will have to ask an experienced engine builder about that.

Air flow is a concern. Not sure of any experienced local builders. . .could give Scott a call. . .might post this over on 460ford as well. I do have hope though, some of those guys in F.A.S.T. make serious power on a "stock" motor }>

Thanks :-X22
