Wow! Pretty! Too bad your M is upside down. }>
Seriously though, that looks incredible. You've done good work and should be proud. |

A frame off resto is a long but rewarding project. It can also get expensive! I am on the final stages of a frame off restoration with my '63 F100 4x4. I also used POR15 on the frame and it is indeed a pain to work with. It does work however..
After a year, I have completed the frame, rebuilt the drive train including rebuilding the transfer case, transmission and engine, new u-joints, rebuilt 3rd member, new wheel bearings, new steering gear, new shocks and springs. The front clip is done and back on as well as the cab. I still need to complete the interior, the wiring and put on the hood (I'm doing a front tilt open hood to be a little different). Once all that is done, I need to do some body work on the bed and get it mounted. I've had the seat done for 9 months and as I don't have a place to store it, it's been riding in my van.. http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/...psc250b8f5.jpg |

I know what you mean about the seat riding in the back of the van! been doing that with the seats for our '64 Galaxie. Been swapping them from the van to the office room. Hopefully next month that interior will be assembled lol.

I like the 351M/400 engines. Yours in an upside-down "M", which is a "W". ;)

M for mediocre?

As much as I love the Windsor, I must say, M motors have quite the potential. They are Cleveland's after all.

I don't like em. Almost bought 3 of them. Glad I didn't. FE power! |

I'd gladly take an FE over a M but not over an actual C. Though I have most experience with W's.

I'd take an FE over anything. If I couldn't take an FE a Windsor would be the next best thing. I'm a bit of an FE snob lol. My dad is more of an FE guy as well. He's talked about putting a 390 in the truck for years, though I've heard about a 460 going in it as well. Though hes also one of those guys that still calls a 351C a big block and gets pissed when i correct him lol. I like all Ford motors though. I'm also a fan of strange, unexpected swaps as well. Someday I'd like to build a 351M and drop it in a 2005 V6 Mustang, or a 352 FE in a 70s Celica, or a 302 in an Escape. I find it cool. |
Put a Ford engine in a Chevy!
