I've done a LOT of research on this and have talked to several of the vendors directly. For a replacement dash pad you have three choices:

I don't think that worked. let me know if it didn't

It didn't. M for a cover find a Coverlay brand.

From what I've researched the new Ford modules are cheesy, so are aftermarket ones and there's not much around here in the junkyards. What's my options for finding a quality original module?

Just buy the Napa/Echlin TP40 or the SMP LX203
Both are good modules. |

Mine has a MADE IN CHINA box on it. It works, that's all I can say about it.

Sure you can buy a 'Duralast Gold' box at autozone with a 'lifetime garuantee'... And hopefully you will never need to walk there to get it replaced. I don't have any problem with where it's made, I just have a problem with the QC (or lack of it) from some suppliers. |

Sounds like the PO did you a huge favor! :D
What's wrong with the horseshoe connector? |

Hopefully this works. These are what I need and I cant find them any where! |
I bought a horseshoe from Dorman for ~$5
Replaced it last year when one of the wires went bare. (but the plastic connector didn't fail) |
It worked this time. You have the base-level kick panels with the vents. I've not seen those in forever.
