1966 F100 Update With Pictures
Well it’s time for an update. I purchased my truck on April 8, 2013 with the intent of keeping it as original/stock as possible,
using it as a hobby/weekend truck. The two best things about the truck are: it’s rust free and I’m the second owner. The purchase price was $2,300 I have an additional $3,476 into it, for a total of $5,760. Now that I have it looking good I can now say, that’s it, I’m not going to spend another dime on it, I’m just going to enjoy it. Below are some before and after pictures. Just a little history It's an all original, 1966 Ford F 100 short bed, it has a 352 V-8 engine with a three speed transmission on the column. The car was originally purchased from Dunning Ford in Ukiah CA by the Milone family and has always been on the family ranch in Hopland CA until i purcased it in April. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/9L...w275-h196-p-no https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/Dl...w295-h207-p-no https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/B_...w244-h173-p-no https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/cn...w244-h173-p-no https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/Ic...w243-h173-p-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Fb...w243-h173-p-no https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/8K...RWN8=s196-p-no https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/ZS...w505-h196-p-no |
nice truck what color is the new blue?
|
It's Marlin Blue the original color. It's actully a much better match then the picture reflects. In addition, it butts up to the original 47 year old paint.

The step bumper is original to the time frame, but it's aftermarket, as Ford didn't offer a step bumper until 1967. |
Yes by no means an original.
But a nice clean up for sure. Enjoy it with pride.:-jammin |
Thanks “NumberDummy”, your right it's not original…. I stand corrected, it’s just a nice old truck. Now let me try and find my rain umbrella my parade is getting wet.

Here is the correct hubcap that probably was on your truck when new. Argent silver with red trim with Wimbledon White wheels. Your truck is very close to looking original, just needs a few finishing touches. I believe your truck came with a Wimbledon White painted front bumper also when new . IMO, the '73-'76 stainless hubcaps and chrome front bumper don't blend very well on a base model F 100.http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/...ps272ba5a9.jpg
