I used to think this place we live in... an 86 Fleetwood motorhome.... was ugly. I can now say, I stand corrected. But, at least I don't have to live in some of the above.
Actually, the one in post 16 is pretty decent. I'd live in it.... seeing as we can't afford to rent a real house. I don't spend much time online anymore, but if I remember, I'll take a picture of this place and enter it. Can't hurt. But, I'll tell ya... these older RVs are colder than two little white puppies in a freezer, in winter. They're hotter than Hades in summer, especially since our two air conditioners don't work and it's going to be a miracle if I can find anyone to even FIX the danged things, considering the old type AC fluid needed.... not to mention probable leaks, etc. I've considered moving us in to a shed. With a shed, I could at least add insulation easier than building walls around the outside of this place..... which I'm truly considering doing. I know... the VA will help us rent a real house or apartment, but we have our pets and I'll be darned if I'm going to kiss any landlord's butt, get rid of our "kids" or anything like that. I love my freedom and will kill to keep it. So... anyhoo... some nice, but ugly RV's pictured. One thing to consider though. They may be ugly, but ya gotta admit.. good ole American imagination is at work here. Takes a good imagination to survive nowadays. Gotta give 'em all credit for that. |

The basic chassis looks French...
The flat windshield and slab sides fairly scream Citroen "An attempt was made at styling - which was discussed at length over fresh rolls and very dry Cabernet Sauvignon..." :-partybud Anyone remember the Dobbertin Surface Orbiter? http://dobbertinhydrocar.com/DSO/ORB_side_view.jpg ~It was made out of a 1958 Milk Tanker ~Some of you may remember this picture from a long ago post: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/a...4&d=1202518381 |
