Do you know what the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) is for your truck? - it should be listed on the ID plate mounted to the driver's side door frame.

Also, I would think a camper like that would make the truck top-heavy which could affect handling.

Please, don't put a cab-over camper on a Ranger............Not enough brakes, springs, transmission or engine, handling and braking will be severely impacted.

Just because there are some made, doesn't mean they are a good idea.

Please leave cab-over campers to F-250s.

Have you ever had 1000 or 1500 lbs in your truck? Not something you want to drive long distances with IMO. Not comfortably, at least.

Serving suggestion: Tent trailer.

On edit:

Hhhhmmmm, might still be pushing it.....

Nix, nix sister hix. Way too much load and way too top heavy for your suspension, bed and brakes, and the little 3.0 V6. Most it should carry is a topper/bed cover. Get a pop-up tent camper, as suggested, or a truck bed tent instead. There used to be a company (Alaskan?? I think) that made a hydraulic pickup topper that would raise straight up a foot or so at rest for more room/headroom inside and then lower down almost level with the top of the cab when traveling. Don't know if they're still around or if they made product for smaller trucks.

I hauled two 55 gallon drums of full of scrap asphalt shingles to the landfill in a small enclosed trailer that was rated for 1,800 pounds. It is about 20 miles and I'm here to tell you that I wont be doing that again. My 98 2 wheel drive Ranger didn't have enough brakes and the 3.0 didn't want anymore either.
