anyone have any suggestions?

I have pulled the 4.9 out of my 1990 ford f140 and have put in its place a 1995 5.0 v8, everything is bolted up and now we have an issue with the dash wiring and Especially the ignition switch wiring, does anyone here have any experience cross wiring these two wire harness to get the ignition to work?

any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Just hook up the power feed to the Dura spark to switched battery, and the solenoid trigger from the ignition switch to the "S" terminal on the solenoid. It's not a complicated system.

I know there's plenty of wires under there, ...but only two matter. :D

there was 8 wires coming out of my old switch, and now there is 12 wires from the new one, old has 2 yellow, new has 4, hmmm this could get interesting.... had to cut on my mint dash to get the new instrument cluster to fit, looks pretty good i think..

Use a test light to see which wire goes to starter trigger. Same thing for the switched battery.

no luck yet, am going to swap cabs and fuel/tailight harness and see if i get anything, right now all i get is a check engine light and thats it...

can crank the motor with the selenoid, but no fuel or spark.

on another note, i test drove a 97 f150 with the 5.4, had a rattle in the motor, fro mwhat ive seen on youtube and google, sounds liek the cam phasers are worn out, so i think, not for me...
