2005 FX4, Locks not working correctly

I had an after market auto start/locking system installed after I bought my truck. It may or may not have an effect on this issue. Yesterday everything was fine, I unloaded a load of mushroom soil for my garden and was listening to the radio while the truck ran. Pulled the truck up front and rinsed the bed out then parked it in the driveway. Tried to lock it with my remote and they did not lock. The mechanisms made the noise like they were trying to lock but the locks did not go down. Tried the button on my armrest control panel on both drivers and passenger side front doors and still not locking.(Quad cab) Then the hi beams failed to work. I could flash by pulling lever toward me but the pushing forward position that locks hi beams on did nothing. Today, hi beams work fine and I can unlock all doors but the drivers but can not lock them in any way other than manually pushing the lock down. Drivers side unlocks with key or opening door from inside. Also, my autolamp stopped working as well. If I remote start the truck they lights come on if autolamp is turned on but they turn back off after I turn the key in the ignition and put my foot on the brake to shift into gear. Anyone have any ideas. I have found that fuse 22 is for the power locks but doubt that is it since other things have been affected as well. Is there a relay that may be bad? I have seen some articles about the vehicle/body security module causing issues with power locks. Dreading a trip to the dealer. Electrical problems usually mean $$$$$. Thanks in advance for any help.

Update, I pulled the positive and negative terminals off the battery, turned the key in the ignition like I was trying to start it to drain the computer memory and then hooked it all back up and everything works again. let me guess, vcm/bcm. Could this be a fluke or is that item going bad? Anyone have any idea what the dealer charges to replace and reprogram?
