My 400 build adding propane to the mix help...

Hey guys, only 7 months later I am suppose to get my 400 back from the machine shop for, cam bearings (TMeyers), install ARP rod bolts and resize rods, hang the new pistons(Tim also), gap and install rings, line hone the mains if needed with going main studs and light hone on cylinders, check square on deck, hot tank it again freeze plugs oil galley plugs also. Not happy to say the least I dropped it off before Christmas.
Now the set up I was going to run was a full ported 351w truck lower to 5.0 truck upper and all to my trick flow heads, but after riding around in my friends 2.3 just propane ranger and seeing how much it costs him to fill it why not. Anyone have experience with a 351m/400 on propane? I have a single plane intake I was going to originally use for my EFI, would a single plane with propane work? I just want to use a impco 425(modified one) mixing hat apparently I get to see how to build a set up to adapt it to a throttle body next week also, run a 80mm throttle body with the single plane intake weld a set of injector bungs in and I can go dual fuel. The exhaust valves are ferrel 6000 series, will these hold up to propane?

Thank you,
Curtis

hey mate-I run a 425 impco but have it on top of a holley 725 (dual fuel)-carby runs like crap even with a standard aircleaner on it, probably from sitting for a while.
T meyer 9.5 to 1 pistons to suit aussie heads, boss valve springs, street dominator single plane manifold and a comps cam 265DEH.
This is in a 72 LTD with the original C6 and 2.7 gears.
If i am feeling like being a boy I leave it in second gear and once the engine is around the 2500rpm mark it starts to go really well.
It definitely goes a lot harder than the old engine (which was worn out) with the standard 2 barrel carb/manifold.
Hardened seats on the exhaust valves.
From the people I dealt with when I rebuilt it, propane likes single plane manifolds so 2 thumbs up there.
The injected dual fuel fuel thing sounds pretty cool, but if I did it again I would go dedicated propane (LPG here in Oz) and get up around 10.5 to 1.
I would then remove all the obsolete fuel lines, tank etc.
Hope this helps
