Here is my 71 F-250 Explorer Custom, my Dad bough for me when i was 15 and i payed back over the summer with the job i could then drive to. Jump forward 10 years and ive gone through some cars and pickups but would never let this one go. It has a 360( 390 in the works), a C6 trans, and its 2wd. I recently bought my 1st house and it has a back garage. so its time to tear the old girl down and breath new life into her. ill keep updating as work goes on and im sure ill be asking for some help along the way.

My plan as of now is just to get her back on the street safely. Will be just a driver/Cruiser for now,the engine will be a sightly over stock 390, ill be looking for 300-350 hp. i might do a 4 speed swap but am unsure about that part. im gonna upgrade the brakes to front disc because 4 wheel drums gets iffy at times. My Wife is pregnant with our 1st so im planning on handing it down in time but also as a father/child bonding project
so far my parts i have found to help out in the rebuild are
a 390 short block out of a 67 galaxie 500, block, crank, rods,pistons,cam
a disc brake front end out of a 71 f-250 camper special, comes with springs, I beams, everything. im hoping that will be a fairly simple bolt in,
