Crazed. I'm with Jim. Was this beauty made in Mexico by Ford or something? I've heard Ford made a version of the Bowtie Brigades Suburban down in Mexico decades ago. A three door! I've had a 1979 and 1995 bronco. A Bump Bronco would be killer!

That's a Bronco top molded onto a pickup truck.

And not done very well if I may add.

The roof lines don't match for one and the filler panel looks a little hokey to me.

Just my $.02

The roof is correct for the 90's bronco at least the 96 bronco that i had looked like that.

not sure what filler panel you are referring to.

yeah , i remembered the 90s broncos having that raised area for the roof , so i am guessing he grafted bump panels onto a 90s bronco.

Hmm I'm not sure if I'm on the same page as you on this one. To me it looks to be done decently. I'm thinking he used a bronco body but put bump side panels on and molded them in. I could be wrong either way it's still my favorite looking bronco I've seen so far would be killer when its finished Lifted and painted. Btw area I didn't know you were in PA to I seen your wanted ad on Rc website for the rear axle I was wondering if it was you when I read it then looked on here and seen you were from my way to.

I don't think any Bronco ever had the top stick up past the cab roof or sides by about 2".

Nope just a home brewed bumpside bronco broncos didn't start to be that big until 78 I believe and they were based on a dentside. I've heard of ford making some strange brewed trucks like 3 door odd looking crew cabs and apparently made the bumpside body trucks until the 90's or early 2000's over in brazil

After looking at the rear frame rails more, it does appear to be a Bronco frame.

Not sure what the heck that thing is now.....

BradyCouchman 05-29-2013 02:24 PM

https://z.about.com/d/4wheeldrive/1/...xecBronco1.JPG

the top is correct as seen above. The CL add bronco brought that line down the side a little more then "stock" but they DID have the raised section before the removable top started.

looks like he took a bronco frame and a 70's truck. cut the back of the cab off and grafted the bed sides to the cab. then took the top to the bronco and grafted it to the top of the cab. and from the looks of it the insde cargo area from a bronco too.

Looks like a 78-79 FSB chassis.

That is a great project truck and most people would not know what is going on with that truck at first glance.

The owner did put some time in to that body. Cool project at a decent price.
