MAY 2013 Just About Everything Thread

It's a little early, but I figure since it was late this month, it all balances out.

I hope everybody has a Marvelous May!

Well lets see. Memphis: Today's high is about 60 which happened at 6am this morning. The midday high is supposed to be 45 going down to 38 tonight. And I'm going camping! At least its not snowing like it did in Arkansas yesterday!!

Greywolf 05-03-2013 10:09 PM

Down in the 40's (Memphis Town), rain slick all day, new mutt soaking wet and wants to cuddle with all that "STINK FUR"...

GRrrrrffffffffff

I'm sick of it!

Someone please send me some summertime....

At least the mudholes won't be there for Woola to ROLL IN

Busy is more than right. Lots of rain causes lots of grass. Lots of grass causes lots of mowing and trimming.
And then the garden needs work when I can get in. Lots of blooms.
And the deck needs re staining if it ever dries out.
And the house needs power washing.
And the cab is off the F4, almost ready for paint.
And the F350 needs an oil change.
And the F150 needs an oil change.
And the F250 needs an oil change.
And the Wrangler needs an oil change.
And FTE needs checking often.:-X22
Yep, busy spring in Tennessee.:-wink

I'm with ya, raytasch. It's been hectic this spring....and it's raining cats & dogs again. My yard will be a forest by the time the rain stops at the end of the week. One chore at a time....one chore at a time.

Hope everyone is staying dry and warm this weekend.

macgiobuin 05-06-2013 05:58 PM

Wow! It was a Monday, through and through. Tomorrow should be better. Hope everyone has a great work week.

Spent the weekend at the Pickin' in the Park festival at Village Creek State Park on Crowley's Ridge. It didn't rain all day, but it was cold Saturday. Not a big turnout.

It is Tuesday! Tremendous or Terrible? For the most part, it's YOUR choice. Choose wisely, grasshopper!

I think I need to quit kidding myself and track down a very used Fiesta, Festiva, Capri, or Escort beater car that gets good mileage and at least puts some wheels back under me again. Anybody knows of a (FORD!) thing like that around my area drop me a shout in the PM box. It's gotta be cheap, and last long enough for me to finish the Ranger. I don't want to dish out a bunch of cash from the truck fund

A rough Wednesday on my end....but it's almost over. Hope everyone has a great day.

Wolf, have you checked some of the smaller, private garages in your area? Around here, there were several who had vehicles they were repairing that the owners skipped out on. Most places just want their money back from the vehicle, and don't necessarily charge what they are worth. Good luck on the hunt!

He's exactly right, or just drive around in the country or state highways, people who have cars parked in their yard with a little for sale sign usually don't advertise for them. I have found great deals like that. Good Luck
