Brought home a 1962 Unibody
Trailered home a 1962 F100 unibody 2wd Saturday. Beautiful patina. Sitting out in a field for 20 years. Needs lots of work, looks all stock. had to use some old jeep 5x5.5 rims to get the chassis off the ground and roll onto the trailer.
Pulled it home with my '97 4wd diesel ford pwrstroke bought brand new a few years ago. The 223 engine in '62 is froze up so i started soaking combustion chamber with low sulfur diesel fuel yesterday. |
Got a front spring
My neighbor down the road has a 1962 unibody minus front clip so he just sold me the front axle, hubs and both springs for less than buying one spring would probably cost, so the broken front spring problem is solved. Also found a wrecking yard that has a 223 engine that was headed for the crusher that I got set aside, so can have an engine to work on while waiting for the frozen engine to get loose.

Front axle and hubs
added couple of photos on my Album "moneypit of the front axle I dragged home yesterday and including a really wasted brake drum. I need a couple more posts before I can attach photos I got the steering column while I was at it.
