Engine cranks, turns and then dies
 

Strange issue --

I also tried jump starting - get same same result. Engine cranks, turns, and then sounds like it is just about to start up normally but it just dies completely. It seems to want to start but just can accelerate the engine high enough to keep it running. Almost like it's flooded on a carb motor.. anyone have ideas ??

Got back home and this time I held the accelerator down when it started turning and it puffed and stumbled - but it started ! Now I need to see why I need to slam on the accelerator in order to get it to not die when it tries to start ....
