Instrument Cluster

I have a 2003 F150 4x4 and I need to replace the instrument cluster. I am going to replace it with a used one. There are a lot of them on ebay. Does any one know if I have to have that exact year model of cluster for it to work right or can I replace it with one from a different year?? Thanks for any info

You will need to take the truck to a dealer for reprograming along with 2 keys.
The dash 'marrys' the PCM for PATS use and key programming.
If this is not done the motor will never be able to be started.
As for difference between 02 and 03, I would think no unless it's out of some other model than an F150..
Good luck.

I'm not sure what exactly is wrong with yours but the odometer on mine keeps going blank from time to time but I found some very detailed videos on youtube that show you step by step how to fix the problem I'm having. Your issue may be different than mine but if it's the same I hope this helps.
