any transmission genuises?
 

my dear old sweat heart is having a little problem. when i stop the transmission downshifts into 1st hard. i changed the tc because the computer said it had exsesive slip. which it did . their was no metal in the pan ,not much clutch material either. im not geting any codes at all. no check engine light . shifts eccelently . just has a hard downshift into first. a guy told me the governor could be stuck . its 4x4 would i have to remove the transfer case to inspect it or just the tails shaft house on the transfercase? please help

What year/model/engine and transmission truck does your truck have? Knowing those key items will narrow down what the root cause may be.
