2014 Expedition Here it is..
7 years for this? Hopefully they did more than close in an F150.. "Artists Rendering"

Don't like it. Windows too small
|
Call me crazy but I actually don't think that looks that bad...It seems taller than the current Expedtions which in turn makes it ''seem'' narrower which IMO looks much better than the squaty wide look they currently have.
|
I don't think it's taller, looks too much like a Flex
|
looks like they took the current expy and swaped out the front clip and front doors. Changed the rear lights.... Kinda crappy job of redoing the sheetmetal. I like the current expy sheetmetal vs the current f150
|
I think there doing this to not lose money since the suv markets is getting back on its feet, So that's why it looks to close to an F150
|
My 8 year old could have drawn more realistic pictures and written a more informative article.
I would get too excited by this "information" eitehr way! |
Only Bright side is..... THe LONGER they take to change the new ones the NEWER my 07 looks! LOL:-X06
And... I cant afford a new one anyway. |
That exhaust pipe looks terrible. And the lights remind me of a Honda Pilot. Front is ok.
|
I've always thought the GM full size SUV's were better looking than the Expeditions. I can't really say why they do though. I thought maybe the Expedition would look better if it looked more like the F150, but may I was wrong.

Interesting to read the comments - this was posted with an element of sarcasm. If you go to the website written on the side of the truck you will find the person who drew this is from Malaysia and does all kinds of these auto drawings. I doubt the next Expedition will look anything like this, it will likely look like a swollen Explorer. Either way I have my eye on the Qx56, after my multiple poor experiences with Ford. Unless the new expedition is some mind blowing design and technology, I will hardly give it a second look.
When I drive around and see old 1997 expeditions, it's funny how you can see that very little has changed in 15 years on these vehicles. The underlying lines of the body and the design of the motor have changed little. It looks like you could take 97 doors and windows and fit then on to a 2007 and up. Hopefully they do more than a re skin but sadly people who need this type of vehicle will buy it regardless of the product they put out, out of necessity rather than choice. Ford knows that and that is why they have invested very little in innovation on the Expedition. |

I've had problems with the Expy too....but Im not sure you going to a Nissan/Infiniti product is really an upgrade of any type |
Based of the pictures of the new 2014 F150 at the Detroit auto show, the windows on this Expedition concept look similar. If it looks as good as the new F150, it should be a winner IMHO..
|
I hope it looks more like a raptor. Wide with the 3 grill lights in the center. Give the eco-boost and 5.0 but debeut either a redesigned SVT 5.4 3valve or 5.8 4vavle as an option. The non-extended length expedition would be a tribute to the bronco and maybe even become the new bronco. It would be pretty awesome... All the really nice technologies it would get

I am with gpfarrell--article is useless for real info.
